One of the main reasons for choosing Philadelphia to be married was the City Hall building right in the middle of the city center.  It has a clocktower near the top on all four sides that we could see from our hotel room across the street, which was so fun. The very top has a statue of William Penn, the founder of Philadelphia. We decided to get married in the evening and have our marriage ceremony be the culmination of our entire day.  So, we kicked the day off with a Wedding Breakfast with our guests at the Bellevue-Stratford Hotel, built in 1904 in a French Renaissance style, in a quaint room on the 17th floor.  The room was facing east and the sun came streaming in the large beautiful windows -- the light was dreamy!
