This is a good one. I love my dad. I’ve always looked up to him and admired his sense of humor, generosity and goodness. He’s good at everything and does things effortlessly. He would do anything in the world for me (including paying for a wedding on the other side of the county!) and supports everything I do.
One of my favorite memories with him was when I trained and ran with him in 2 marathons, one, when I was 16 years old and had no idea what I was getting myself into! ha! My dad was right by my side the whole way. On long runs down the canyon and the whole race — we just talked and laughed and he made sure I was doing ok the whole time. He loves to run and so do I — and I love that we have something we both love and can always share with each other.
I remember when Jared and I were first getting to know each other and I thought, there’s some little things that remind me of my dad — and I liked that, because my dad is such a good man…one of the best, actually!
Im sharing this special sequence of photos from my wedding the morning before I even saw Jared. My dad hadn’t actually even seen my dress yet! It was a surprise! Except, the coolest part was that I didn’t expect his emotional reaction. He doesn’t get emotional very often — but when he does, it means something. Im so glad we shared this moment together.
I love that our photographers were able to catch this sweetest moment! Love you, Dad! Happy Fathers Day!
