Embroidery

Isn’t this embroidered collar to die for??  I am seriously so obsessed with it!  Not only do I adore a pretty, feminine collar because of the way it frames your face and adds a layer of texture, but one that is embroidered AND scalloped adds the perfect touch of personality and uniqueness.

Does anyone else love to embroider?  I definitely didn’t embroider this collar myself haha but I do enjoy embroidering other pieces of clothing!  I first got into embroidery several years ago when I decided to embroider sweatshirts as my Christmas present for everyone in my family with something that reminded me of them.  So for my mom, I did the Eiffel Tower, mountains for my dad, and then a camera, wolf, and planet for my three younger brothers.  They all turned out pretty cute and I’ve been embroidering since!

I’m not always good at embroidering things for myself which is a shame because it feels almost like I have to have an excuse to make something for someone else before I’ll start a new project– which is so lame!  That’s one of my goals for this summer– to use my talents and practice my passions just for fun rather than needing a purpose.  Does anyone else struggle with this??  It’s almost like it feels selfish in a way, which I don’t even think is true because the more you practice your talents, the better you become, and then the better you are able to share them with others, right?  And why can’t your passions just be that– yours? Haha I digress, but I just want to be better at developing talents and skills that bring me joy more consistently, rather than having to wait for an opportunity/ excuse to do so.  I challenge you to do the same!! And I want to hear what your talents are and the passions that bring you joy in the comments!

xoxo
