Long Walks

One of my favorite ways to decompress from the day, balance my blood sugar, and move my body is going on walks throughout the day. I used to be an avid runner all growing up running marathons and being a part of cross country and it was only until last year that I started feeling burnt out from it all. It started to feel so jarring going on runs and I just couldn’t do it anymore. I’ve never enjoyed going to the gym (especially since I have no idea what to do there haha) and I don’t have the energy for workout classes that are fast-paced and intense which didn’t leave me with too many options left over.

That’s where walking entered the chat! It feels so nice and peaceful to go on long walks where I can think things through, admire the scenery, or just enjoy the sun on my face. And when I walk for far enough taking long strides and tightening my core, it turns into quite a (gentle) workout! It’s the best and I love it so much. And it balances your blood sugar which is the cherry on top.
