Happy Fourth of July!

Happy fourth!! Welcome to my iPhone photo dump from the weekend haha!  Jared and I had so much fun going to the Provo parade with Jared’s family– his cousins’ grandma lives right on the parade route and his family has spent every Fourth of July on that front lawn so it was really cool to be a part of that this year.  The energy and feeling in the air while watching the parade were honestly so incredible!  I’m obsessed with this country and the freedoms and opportunities that are available to all and finally being able to be together with so many other people to celebrate all the things we love about this country was so powerful.  (peep the pic of Jared and me with his grandpa Garlick who is 92 and has more zest for life than most people I know!!)

After the parade, we spent our evening BBQ-ing with Jared’s extended family and watching fireworks!  Basically the only appropriate way of celebrating IMO.  Jared’s cousins were setting off the fireworks and after they lit one of the ones that shoot up into the air and explodes, it fell over onto its side and started shooting fireworks at the house!! Literally a few feet away from where we were all sitting and watching!  Luckily his cousin was quick on his feet and threw a garbage can on top of it so that they stopped shooting at us although the garbage can did explode haha it was really wild but I was just glad that everyone was okay and that the house didn’t light on fire haha!

Anyways, it was a really fun and memorable weekend!  I also made these yummy four-ingredient popsicles from Half Baked Harvest that were insanely delicious and that I ate several times a day haha I hope you had a great weekend with your friends and family!
