Mother’s Day Gift Guide
How is it already May? And Mother’s Day is this weekend?? It feels like this year is flying by! I absolutely love the month of May though because I get to celebrate my mom and all the amazing women in my life– I can’t think of anything better! If you know me at all, you know that my mom is my best friend. I know that people like to throw that phrase around all the time and it often loses its meaning, but I mean it when I say that my number one best friend is Jared and number two is my mom. Whenever we get together or talk on the phone it’s almost guaranteed that we’ll talk for a minimum of two or three hours ha! She’s just the best and I love her so much and wish I could celebrate her every day.
This picture is one of my favorites of us! We did a family photoshoot a couple of years ago and I was so happy we got these shots of the two of us 🙂 Do you guys think we look alike?? I feel like we have completely different features but have the same feel if that makes sense, haha but I’m curious what y’all think!
Okay so I know that holidays like these often sneak up on us and come out of nowhere and so if you are just now realizing that Mother’s Day is this Sunday or you just can’t think of what to get your mom, SO, or any other women in your life that you want to celebrate– have no fear! I have put together a little gift guide of things you can get off of amazon so you know they’ll get here in time!
- Half Baked Harvest Super Simple Cookbook by Tieghan Gerard. If you aren’t already using Tieghan’s recipes you are seriously missing out!! She makes the most flavorful, easy, delicious, and FAST meals and this cookbook is an absolute must-have. This is a great gift for a mom who may be stuck in a rut of her go-to recipes and would benefit from some new fresh, simple, and quick recipes– or even you!
- Gold Bee Ring and Gold Band with Diamonds. I know what you’re thinking– how can anything of decent quality be so cheap? And while I’m not sure I have the answer to that, I will say that these rings are both of those things! My mom has these and they look so good stacked with others and are beautiful on their own.
- Knit Pants. If your mom is still wearing leggings as her go-to pants, you need to get her these. I don’t know about anyone else, but I HATE wearing my leggings for longer than working out or doing a quick clean around my house. I may be the only one, but I much prefer the softness and stretchiness of these cute wide-legged, neutral, knit pants. The wide-leg is so flattering and I especially love the cropped length! So perfect to throw on with a t-shirt and sneakers and wear all summer long.
- Dalmatian Print Dress. Okay, this dress is amazing and I am seriously considering ordering it for myself right this second haha! It’s such a good print that adds enough dots to be interesting but not enough to look like polka dots if you know what I mean. The ruffles, smocking, and tie at the waist are so flattering and timeless and look good on most body types! Such a fun gift to give to the women in your life!
- Laneige Lip Mask. This lip mask is insane and I absolutely swear by it. I normally get crazy chapped lips over the winter– so bad that the corners of my mouth crack and bleed and are so painful. I used this all winter and my lips have never been more plump and smooth and moisturized– it’s a total game changer! I wear this all night and basically don’t even have to put chapstick on at all throughout the day soooo every woman needs this.
- Tortoise Claw Hair Clip. For most of my childhood and even now, my memories of my mom consist of her wearing a clip in her hair. Doesn’t matter if it’s holding all her hair up, half, or just the hair in front she was almost always wearing one! Not sure if that holds true for the rest of y’all, but moms can never have enough clips– especially when they are as cute as this one! It comes in a pack of two and is such a great in-between size!
- What Kind of Woman by Kate Baer. This is a beautiful book full of lovely poems talking all about women and motherhood. I’ve heard from a lot of moms that they really resonate with Kate Baer’s words and even though I’m not a mom (yet!!!) I totally agree! This is a great gift to give to the women in your life who need a good reminder of how amazing and loved they are. Which is basically everyone!
- Rose Quartz Gua Sha. Few things are more grounding and relaxing than using a gua sha. If you haven’t heard of them, they are used to move and clear lymph from your face, neck, and jaw to define your facial features, prevent wrinkles, and de-puff among lots of other things!! You can find all sorts of tutorials online or you can check out Noy Skincare or Beauty Shamans on Instagram because they have a lot of great, free content!
- Capri Blue Volcano Candle. These candles smell like what I imagine Greece smelling like– absolute heaven. These candles are a little more expensive but they are oh so worth every penny! I love to splurge on them every once in a while because the smell is just too amazing and also reminds me of the joy of walking through an Anthropologie store– who wouldn’t want their house to smell exactly like that??
I hope that you are able to find something in this guide that will be perfect for your mom, spouse, fellow mamas, or even just for yourself (you deserve it!!).
Xoxo
